Author: Coach Dan Gensel |

The Northern Knights HCAK, Hockey Club of Alaska, has opened tryouts and practices for multiple age groups with on-ice activities at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Facility in Kenai.

The Northern Knights HCAK is attempting to provide hockey for the following A and/or House age divisions U6, U8, U10, U12 & U14+.   Each division’s availability will depend on recruiting quality coaches.  The coaching application period has been extended past the August 7th deadline.  Submit all applications through our website www.hockeyclubalaska.com.

A message from the Hockey Club Alaska President:

We look forward to playing hockey. We all need to do our part in staying healthy and following necessary protocols. Please read our HCAK Return to Play Mitigation Plan found on our website.

Here are the items that MUST be signed by parents and athletes prior to being on the ice:
1. HCAK Player/Parent responsibilities form (this is taken from our Mitigation Plan)
2. HCAK Player Information form
3. City of Kenai Release of Liability form

We will have a table outside the Kenai Ice Rink in the parking lot. Please wear a facial covering and maintain 6 ft. physical distance when signing in. In order to stay in compliance and continue to have the opportunity to be on the ice and have a season of hockey, we ask you have your player enter the rink, maintain 6 ft. physical distance, stay on the bleachers/bench until Coach is with them and parent/guardian stays in the car. We will be ready for check in 30 minutes prior to scheduled ice time.

Please remember:
🥅player’s current USA Hockey registration number
🥅come dressed ready to just put on helmet, skates, gloves
🥅bring own water bottle with name on it
🥅check in and stay in your car until 10 minutes before hitting the ice

Tryouts for the U-12 AA are scheduled for Tuesday, August 11th @ 8:15 p.m. at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Facility.
