The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is aiming to make setting up the return to school easy for students and parents. Returning Student Update Forms, intended to streamline the annual required paperwork, are asked to be completed today, August 14.
Part of the KPBSD’s Smart Start plan to return to schools on August 24 is giving parents the choice of three options for how each student will return. The online form is where parents will make their determination.
Pegge Erkeneff of the KPBSD has details: “Live, now, today is the Returning Student Update form. This means you don’t have to go in and fill out paperwork. It’s simple. It’s streamlined. It’s easy. It’s required for all returning students as well as where you will indicate what your school choice is. Meaning: onsite, 100% remote learning, or home-school for this coming school year. Please check your email, our website, and you’ll also be getting messages from your school directly.”
The district asks that the forms be completed by all families. For families with questions about the paperwork or about the three options available for students, contact your KPBSD school for help to discern what is best for your child and family. School principals and secretaries are available today to answer questions.
