Alaska State Troopers out of Soldotna responded to Jim Street and Marilee Street in Sterling, following a report of an automobile accident involving a serious injury. The report was on Septmeber 4, a little after 11:00 p.m.
The crash involved a red and and black 250cc Can-Am four-wheeler. Upon arrival, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Jacob Bellinger, age 33, of Sterling. He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision and was Life Flighted to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.
Alcohol consumption is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to Trooper Dispatch.
