Registration moose permits for the Ship Creek drainage in Unit 14C will be available online only, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6 to the first 100 hunters that register. The RM435 moose permit is a limited registration permit normally issued on a first-come first-serve basis at the Anchorage Department of Fish and Game office. Due to potential safety concerns regarding COVID-19 and current municipal and state health mandates, RM435 permits for this year will be available online only at www.hunt.alaska.gov.
Permits will not be available in person at the Anchorage Department of Fish and Game office.
The permit is open to any qualified Alaska resident or non-resident and is non-transferable. Season dates are October 25 – November 30; however, the hunt will be closed by emergency order when the harvest quota is reached. Interested hunters should be aware that access to the hunt area is limited and the terrain is extremely demanding.
Hunters should be aware of current municipal and state health mandates initiated to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Alaska. Successful hunters should practice social distancing and wear face coverings when reporting in-person to the Anchorage or Palmer Department of Fish and Game office within 3 days of killing a bull moose with the required five-inch section of the lower jaw.
