Public Comments Accepted For Aquatic Farm Site Near Seward

The Southcentral Regional Land Office has made a Preliminary Decision to offer a ten-year lease to Fisherman Fresh for an approximately 29-acre site for the operation of an aquatic farm site for the purpose of cultivating ribbon kelp and sugar kelp.

 

The location of the project area is described as being within Resurrection Bay, approximately 2.7 nautical miles south of Seward.

 

The public is invited to review and comment on this decision. A copy of the decision can be found online. It is also available in hardcopy upon request. All comments must be received in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on December 4.
