Following the October 6 municipal election, Kenai City Council Member Henry Knackstedt was re-elected to another three-year term on the Council. Teea Winger was also elected to a seat during the election, replacing Tim Navarre.
They were officially sworn in during the Wednesday, November 4, Kenai City Council meeting.

After the swearing in of Knackstedt and Winger, City Council held an election to determine who would hold the position of Vice Mayor. Bob Molloy, the current Vice Mayor, was unanimously nominated for another one-year term. Molloy told the City Council, “It’s an honor and privilege to serve the city of Kenai as Vice Mayor and I appreciate the support of council for that.”
Mayor Brian Gabriel determined that since there weren’t any other nominations for Vice Mayor, there wasn’t a need to take a vote.
