The City of Seward’s Community Development Department presented a resolution to the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission recommending that the Seward City Council rezone the site that formerly was home to the Jesse Lee Home. The rezoning would be from a multi-family residential property to a park property totaling 2.66 acres.
The Commission postponed the public hearing for the rezoning to December 1, to allow citizens to offer input. They will be holding a work session on November 17 at 6:00 p.m. Any interested participants are asked to e-mail [email protected] for more details on how to become involved.
In the meantime, the City of Seward is hosting an online survey to gauge public opinion which can be found online.
