Drive-Through COVID Testing Offered In Seward Next Week

After seeing a spike of positive COVID-19 tests in Seward, the Seward Community Health Center is setting up targeted drive-through testing next week.  They are urging residents to isolate upon noticing even mild symptoms of COVID, and to get tested as quickly as possible.

They also advise that anyone coming in contact with a COVID-positive patient need to take the time to quarantine for 14 days. The 14 day count begins with the day of most recent exposure to the COVID-positive person.

The drive-through testing will take place on Tuesday, November 17, until Thursday, November 19.  The testing hours for each day will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at 417 First Avenue. Cars are instructed to line-up on First Avenue at the parking lot entrance. Testing will be administered via a nasal swab, with results coming within three to seven days.

The Health Center asks that people being tested wear masks and bring photo identification, and they remind those being tested that a negative test result is not a green light to end the suggested 14‐day quarantine for those who have been near a COVID-positive person.

Questions can be directed to the Seward Community Health Center at (907) 224‐2273.
