40-year-old John Edward Strange the 3rd of Girdwood was arrested this morning by Alaska State Troopers for DUI.
Troopers stopped a black 1994 Ford Bronco near milepost 71 on the Sterling Highway near the Watson Lake Campground in Sterling for a traffic violation just after midnight. A subsequent investigation revealed he was driving the vehicle while impaired and under the influence of alcohol.
Strange was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Strange was later charged with Refusal to Submit to a Chemical test for refusing to provide a breath sample for testing as required.
He was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held till sober.
