UPDATE 9:55 A.M. – Power was restored to all but 40 people in Kasilof.
ORIGINAL STORY – A power outage is affecting at least 2,400 people across parts of the Kenai Peninsula this morning.
The outages reportedly occurred just before 7:00 a.m. According to Homer Electric Association, there was an outage along K-Beach Rd. from the south end of K-Beach all the way to Bonita Ave. affecting 2,400 members. The cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
