The Kenai Kardinal hockey team recorded its second victory in four days over the Soldotna Stars, both on the Stars home ice at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
Kenai downed SoHi 3-0 on Friday night on the strength of a shut-out performance in goal by Thomas Baker. Baker recorded 17 saves for the victory. In goal for the Stars, Ayden See recorded 20 saves on 23 shots.
Kenai and SoHi skated evenly through the first period. Jacob Begich opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the second period for a 1-0 Kardinal lead.
Aiden Milburn and Landen Cialek score for Kenai in the third period for the 3-0 Kenai win.
Kenai stands at 2-1 on the season; SoHi drops to 1-2.
