Public testimony will be accepted at Wednesday night’s Kenai City Council meeting where one of the items up for discussion will be the city’s capital improvement program funding requests.
City Manager Paul Ostrander noted in a memo to the council that administration has conducted meetings with all department heads in the development of the request list. He added that the projects included will provide the legislature with projects to consider with a range of costs.
Among the requests to be discussed are $5 million from the state to fund the Kenai Bluff Stabilization Project, $1 million to fund paving and improvements to Kenai city streets, $750,000 to fund improvements to the Kenai Recreation Center, among other projects making a total of 12 requests for funding.
The meeting will be held in-person at the council chambers, but will also be held online via the Zoom online platform. For those seeking to participate virtually, click here to do so online, or call: (253) 215-8782 to do so via telephone. Use Meeting ID: 880 4357 9001 and Passcode: 372771.
