Kenai City Council To Discuss State Funding Requests For Capital Improvement Projects

Public testimony will be accepted at Wednesday night’s Kenai City Council meeting where one of the items up for discussion will be the city’s capital improvement program funding requests.

 

City Manager Paul Ostrander noted in a memo to the council that administration has conducted meetings with all department heads in the development of the request list. He added that the projects included will provide the legislature with projects to consider with a range of costs.

 

Among the requests to be discussed are $5 million from the state to fund the Kenai Bluff Stabilization Project, $1 million to fund paving and improvements to Kenai city streets, $750,000 to fund improvements to the Kenai Recreation Center, among other projects making a total of 12 requests for funding.
