Homer Electric Association announced work on the final phase of the Stonehocker Creek Remediation project near Halibut Cove in a Wednesday press release.
Bruce Shelley of Homer Electric Association: “Next Monday, February 8 of 2021, we’re going to have some daily power outages for the Halibut Cove and Peterson Bay members which will start approximately 9:00 a.m. each morning, lasting until approximately 4:00 p.m. running from Monday through Saturday to do this work. The work over there is fortifying some power poles in the Stonehocker Creek area, so we will drive some additional pile there to fortify that line. That will start, again, next week, February 8, impacting the Halibut Cove and Peterson Bay members. That work will last approximately two weeks.”
In the event of inclement weather preventing HEA crews from working in the area on a certain day, HEA will update the Scheduled Outages page on the HEA website.
