SoHi Baseball Places 4th At Buddy Dale Tournament: Kardinals Drop Pair In Kodiak

The Soldotna Stars baseball team finished fourth at the Buddy Dale Baseball Tournament in Wasilla, dropping its final two contests.

Wasilla 14 – SoHi 0

The Stars were held scoreless by Warrior pitching in a 14-0 loss.  In the five inning contest, Andrew Pieh, Levi Mickelson and Gavin Jones recorded hits for SoHi.

Colony 17 – SoHi 4

SoHi managed four runs against the Knights in a 17-4 win for Colony.  SoHi scattered four hits; Daltyn Deborski collected a pair of base hits for SoHi.

 

The Kenai Kardinal baseball team traveled to Kodiak to face the Bears in high school baseball on Friday and Saturday.

Kodiak 16 – Kenai 1

The Bears pitching staff recorded a 16-1 no-hitter against the Kardinals on Friday with Jack Malloy throwing four innings and Hunter Williams closing the fifth inning.   Nick Wehrstein turned a base-on-balls into an unearned run for Kenai’s only score.

Kodiak 16 – 9

Kenai found some offense on Saturday against the Bears in a 16-9 loss to Kodiak.  Kenai’s Gabe Smith went 3 for 4 for the Kardinals.
