The Juneau girls soccer team completed its sweep of peninsula teams with victories over Kenai and Nikiski; SoHi soccer took two from the Mariners and Kenai boys recorded a victory over Nikiski.
Juneau 1 – Kenai o
Kenai goalie Emma Beck held Juneau to a lone goal in a 1-0 Juneau victory.
Juneau 15 – Nikiski 0
The Juneau Crimson Bears overpowered Nikiski 15-0.
Kenai Boys 8 – Nikiski 0
The Kardinal boys shut-out Nikiski 8-0 on Saturday. Kenai’s Leif Lofquist scored twice and single goals were scored by: Samuel Baisden, Wade James, Koa Diorec, Lucas Tunseth, Ky Calvert and Tucker Vann.
SoHi Girls 2 – Homer 0
The Star girls remain unbeaten against peninsula schools with a 2-0 defeat of Homer on Saturday. Sunny Miller recorded a shut out in goal for the Stars. SoHi goals were scored by Bay Bloom and Sierra Kuntz.
SoHi Boys 5 – Homer 1
Josh Heiber recorded a four-goal, hat trick to push the Stars past Homer 5-1. Jose Montague netted the Stars other goal and Gehret Medkoff, in goal for SoHi, held off the Mariners.
