Kenai 9 – SoHi 8

The Kenai baseball Kardinals rallied from an early 6-0 deficit to defeat SoHi 9-8 in Southcentral Conference baseball.

Kenai, in the bottom of the seventh inning with the game tied at 8-8, scored the winning run with no outs on a sacrifice fly by Grenier.

The Stars lead early at 6-0 behind three scoreless innings on the mound by Addison Gibson.  Kenai rallied against SoHi’s relief pitching scoring four runs in the fourth inning.  The Stars posted a pair of runs for an 8-4 lead in the top of the sixth; only to have the Kardinals record four runs in the bottom half of the inning.  Tied at 8-8 into the Kenai half of the seventh inning, the Kardinals opened with a walk to Xavier Amend; who was pinch-run for by Whicker.  Whicker advanced to third base and scored on the Grenier RBI fly ball.  Final Score: Kenai 9 – SoHi 8
