U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan of Alaska called on President Joe Biden to withdraw his nomination of Tracy Stone-Manning to serve as the next director of the Bureau of Land Management. Sullivan argues that Stone-Manning is unfit to serve due to her ties with Earth First!, identified as a radical environmental group involved in eco-terrorist activities such as tree spiking, which is defined as placing metal rods or spikes into tree trunks to prevent logging. Tree spiking is considered a federal felony.

In a related story, the former BLM director during the Obama administration, Bob Abbey, called on Stone-Manning to withdraw her nomination on Monday.
