Twins Split Doubleheader With League-Leading Service

The American Legion Post 20 Twins split a pair of baseball games against league-leading Service on Thursday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park; the first doubleheader of a busy six-game home series for the Twins.

 

Service 9 – Post 20 Twins 4

Post 20 and Service battled evenly into the seventh inning with the game tied 4-4.  Kenai’s Harrison Metz pitched 6 2-3 innings surrendering eight run, only four earned on just six hits.

Service scored five runs in the seventh inning for the 9-4 victory.

The Twins hold-off a late Service charge for an 8-7 win in the non-conference game.

Service stands in first in the National Division at 7-2;  the Twins are in seventh in the division at 2-6.
