12:16 p.m. UPDATE: The cause of the outage that left 2,667 HEA members without power was a faulty cable. Power has since been restored.
Homer Electric Association reports that there’s a sizeable power outage affecting 2,667 members, according to a 10:44 a.m. update. The power outage was reported at 9:18 a.m.
Keriann Baker, Homer Electric Association’s Director of Member Relations tells KSRM that the cause of the outage is currently unknown, but that crews are responding. There’s no current timetable of return of power.
