The Post 20 Twins, behind a six-inning, five strikeout effort by Atticus Gibson on the mound, defeated West Anchorage 4-1 in the league contest on Wednesday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Post 20 4 – West 1 League Game
The Twins scored single runs in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings while holding West to a single run for the 4-1 Twins victory. Harrison Metz lead the offense with three hits.
Post 20 14 – West 3 Non-League Game
The Post 20 Twins five-run ruled West in the non-league contest on Wednesday. The Twins scored 14 runs in three innings with four runs in the first, six runs in the second and four runs in the third innings.
Jace Applehans threw three innings and allowed three runs. Sam Berry and Atticus Gibson each recorded two RBI. Andrew Pieh closed the game for the Twins.
The Post 20 Twins host South Anchorage at Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Saturday, July 10th. The league game is at 12:30 p.m.; the non-league game starts about 3 p.m.
