The Kenai Post 20 Twins opened play at the Matson Invitational baseball tournament at Bartlett High School with a 4-2 victory over North Pole in the first round pairing on Thursday in Anchorage.

Atticus Gibson and Sam Berry each recorded an RBI and Berry collected three hits to lead the Twins 4-2 over North Pole.. The Twins used four pitchers including Atticus Gibson, Sam Berry, Andrew Pieh and Harrison Metz. Sam Berry earns the win and Metz receives the save. The Twins scored twice in the third inning and added runs in the fourth and seventh inning.
The Twins advance to a winner’s bracket game on Friday at 2:45 p.m. against the Matson Invitational Tournament #1 seed West Anchorage.
