Unable to mount any offense through the first five innings and trailing 7-0, the Anchorage Glacier Pilots rallied with three runs in the sixth, five runs in the seventh, and two runs in the eighth to fly past the Anchorage Bucs for a 10-8 victory in game one of the Alaska Baseball League Top of the World Series at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage on Monday.

The Bucs built a 7-0 lead with a pair of first inning runs and four runs in the fourth inning.  The game turned in the seventh inning with the Bucs needing three pitchers to turn away the Pilots; as the Pilots scored five runs on only three hits, three walks, a hit batter, an error and a pair of wild pitches.

The Top of the World Series continues Tuesday, August 3rd at Mulcahy Park with the Pilots holding a 1-0 lead in the best of three series for the ABL tournament title.  Game three, if necessary is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th.  All games are scheduled for 7 p.m. first pitch.
