In-spite-of the best efforts by Alaska’s football programs, another cancellation attributed to COVID-19 will affect the Kenai Peninsula’s opening week of the high school football season.
The West Valley football program, from Fairbanks, has announced that due to a positive COVID-19 case within its program, West Valley football will not travel to Soldotna and the SoHi vs West Valley football games scheduled for Friday, August 13th have been cancelled.

Due to a positive COVID case on the West Valley football team, the JV and varsity games scheduled for Friday, August 13th at Soldotna High School have been cancelled. We are in discussions with the officials association and district administration about the possibility of rescheduling.
