Just four days after defeating Eielson, the Nikiski Bulldog football team faced Monroe on Tuesday night and surrendered 30, unanswered points in the second half in a 52-14 loss to the Rams.

The Monroe Rams jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter before the Bulldogs rallied with a pair of touchdowns including a 96-yard touchdown run by Truit McCaughey.
The Bulldogs trailed 22-14 at the half.
The second half belonged to Monroe with 30 straight points in the third quarter and a running clock in the fourth quarter.
Monroe improves to 2-0 and the Bulldogs leave Fairbanks with a 1-1 record.
