Redington Overpowers Kenai In Mid-Alaska Conference Pairing

Redington High School improved to 4-0 on the regular season and 2-0 in the Mid-Alaska Conference with a dominating 68-14 victory over the 0-3 Kenai Kardinals on Saturday at KCHS.

 

Redington 68 – Kenai 14

The Redington Huskies lead 18-0 after one quarter and 40-0 at the half.  The Huskies scored four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns with running back Jaden Spaulding scoring four touchdowns in the first half.

Redington added a pair of passing touchdowns in the third quarter for a 54-0 lead.

In the fourth quarter Kenai recorded its first touchdown with a 27-yard pass from Bridger Beck to Wade James, followed by a Redington touchdown.  Kenai scored again on a 20-yard touchdown run by Bridger Beck midway through the quarter.  The Huskies closed the scoring with a touchdown pass on the game’s final play.

 

Kenai will host the Homer Mariners on Friday, September 17th with a scheduled 6 p.m. kick-off.
