With the much-anticipated Lady Grizzlies Volleyball Tournament on the scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the Soldotna Stars and Nikiski Bulldogs traveled on Tuesday for volleyball pairings on the road.
SoHi 3 – Seward 1
The Soldotna Stars avenged an earlier loss to the Seward Seahawks with a 4-set match victory on Tuesday in Seward. SoHi dropped game one 9-25, then rallied 25-11, 25-20 and 25-22. Chloe Armstrong lead the Stars with 12 kills; Katelyn Morrison added eight kills.
Homer 3 – Nikiski 0
The Homer Mariners recorded a three-game sweep over Nikiski in Southcentral Conference volleyball on Tuesday in Homer.
The Mariners defeated the Bulldogs 25-14, 25-21 and 25-8. Ariel VanZandt recorded five kills and two blocks for the Bulldogs. Homer improves to 5-1 in conference play. The Bulldogs fall to 1-4 in the Southcentral Conference.
The Grace Lady Grizzlies Volleyball Tournament runs Friday and Saturday, October 8th and 9th at Grace Christian School in Anchorage.
