Kardinal Hockey Drops 4-1 Contest To Colony

In second round hockey action at the Stars & Stripes Showdown Hockey Tournament, the Kenai Kardinals fell to Colony 4-1 in Palmer.

 

Colony 4 – Kenai 1

The Kardinals opened the scoring on a bouncing shot from Logan Mese just :52 seconds into the game against Colony.  That proved to be Kenai’s final goal.  The Knights tied the game midway through the period on a Jacob Ross goal.

Tied 1-1  into the second period, Colony scored a pair of goals for a 3-1 lead and added a single, third period goal for the 4-1 victory.

 

Kenai faces Wasilla on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at the MTA Center in Palmer.

SoHi plays Dimond in the 5:15 p.m. game.
