Alaska State Troopers on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. were notified of a residential fire in the Anchor Point area. Western Emergency Services and State Troopers responded to find the home fully engulfed in fire.
One occupant of the home was discovered deceased inside while a second resident was found at a nearby residence and has since been transported to Seattle for medical treatment due to injuries sustained in the fire, according to the online trooper dispatch.
The deceased occupant has not been identified. No known cause of the fire is known at this time.
State Fire Marshals are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
