Bomb Threat Evacuates Kenai Walmart For An Hour Friday Night

A bomb threat evacuated the Kenai Walmart on Friday evening at 7:22 p.m., according to a release from the Kenai Police Deaprtment.

 

Both Kenai Police and Kenai Fire responded to the Walmart after the store received a report from an unidentified individual claiming to be inside the store with a bomb. In the interest of safety, the Walmart was evacuated without incident.

 

The store was searched by KPD and store personnel, however no bomb or other incendiary devices were located.

 

About an hour later after the closure, the store reopened for business.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
