It is conference tournament time in the 1A Peninsula Conference for high school basketball with the tournament hosted at Lumen Christi School in Anchorage from Thursday through Saturday, March 3rd-5th.
The Cook Inlet Academy girls and boys enter tournament play with opening round games on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagle girls enter the tournament as the #3 seed in the four-team bracket and play #2 Birchwood in the 2:45 p.m. game.
The CIA boys earn the #2 seed and open against #3 Nanwalek in the 4:30 p.m. game.
Lumen Christi is the #1 seed in both girls and boys brackets.
The top two teams from the Peninsula Conference qualify to the ASAA Alaska 1A State Basketball Championships scheduled for March 16-19 at the Alaska Airlines Center at UAA in Anchorage.
