The Kenai Kardinals girls and boys basketball teams battled for a spot at the 2022 ASAA 3A State Basketball Championships on Saturday in the 2nd-Place games at the 3A Peninsula Conference Basketball Tournament at Kenai Central High School.
The Kardinal girls face Homer in the noon game for the second-seed to the state tournament representing the Peninsula Conference.
The Kenai boys will battle the Homer Mariners at 2 p.m. for a spot at the state championships. Kenai defeated Homer on Thursday on the conference tournament’s opening day.
