Kenai & SoHi Cheer Squads Set To Compete At ASAA State

The 2022 ASAA Cheer State Championship Competition, featuring cheerleading competition in Division I and Division II, will be contested on Tuesday, March 22nd at the Alaska Airlines Center on the campus of UAA in Anchorage.

 

Cheer squads from Kenai Central High School and Soldotna High School will compete along with approximately 20 cheer teams from throughout Alaska.  

 

Cheer Classification Divisions

Division I includes school size of 501 and above.

Division II includes school size 500 and less. (Any school in Division II may choose to opt up to Division I. There will be no separate division for coed teams).

 

Competition Categories

Sideline Cheer, Time-Out Cheer, Situational Sideline Cheer & Halftime Routine

 

Event Time Schedule

3:30 p.m.  Warm-Up in Auxiliary Gym

5:30 p.m.  Doors open to the public

6:00 p.m.  Competition Begins

 

 

Cheer Competition Guidelines

All routines will be performed on a regulation basketball court. No mats

All practices and warm-ups will be done prior to the event.

Mascots and team members that are used as spotters are considered part of the team.

NFHS rules will be strictly adhered to.
