In the third meeting of the season between the Soldotna and Kenai softball teams, and with the teams splitting the first two contests, the SoHi girls dominated Kenai 19-3 in Northern Lights Conference softball action on Saturday.
SoHi 19 – Kenai 3
The Stars pounded-out twelve runs in the first inning, with ten runs coming after two outs, Saturday at Steve Shearer Memorial Ball Park in Kenai. SoHi downed Kenai 19-3 in three innings with the run-rule in effect.
SoHi’s table-setters did their job with the top third of the lineup scoring a combined eight runs. Clean-up hitter Brook Fischer recorded three RBI, as did Alyssa McDonald.
SoHi improved to 2-1 in the league and 5-5 overall, Kenai stands at 0-4 in the league and 3-9 overall.
