Kardinals & Stars Hammer-Out Conference Baseball Victories

Baseball on the road for Kenai and SoHi opened with the Kardinals overwhelming Redington to start a three-day swing for the Kardinals in the Valley; SoHi traveled to Homer for Southcentral Conference baseball.

 

Kenai 19 – Redington 3

Five innings proved enough for the Kenai baseball team to close-out Redington 19-3 in Southcentral Conference baseball at Redington High School.  Kenai’s Brady Bostic went the distance on the mound for the Kardinals.  Kenai baseball is a co-op team with Nikiski High School and Nikiski’s Bostic and Charlie Chamberlain both recorded two hits in the victory.

 

SoHi 21 – Homer 3

The Stars improved to 5-1 in Southcentral Conference baseball with a five-inning 21-3 victory in Homer on Thursday.

Riley Johnson posted four innings on the mound allowing no earned runs and recording eight strikeouts.  Johnson recorded five RBI on three hits at the plate; Levi Mickelson scored five runs, knocked two hits and added two RBI.
