A non-conference pairing on Senior Night for the Soldotna Stars resulted in a 15-6 SoHi victory over the Kenai Kardinals softball team at the Soldotna Little League field.
SoHi pounded seven, first-inning runs for a 7-0 advantage. The two teams traded runs for the remainder of the five-inning, mercy rule game. Isabelle Cruz had two hits, three runs and an RBI at the plate and in 1 2/3 innings allowed two runs on a pair of hits on the mound. Alyssa McDonald added two runs and three RBI. Kenai’s offense was lead by Kailey Stynsberg with two hits, two RBI and a run scored.
