The Soldotna Stars baseball team enters the Southcentral Conference baseball tournament as the #1 seed and the Kenai Kardinals earn the #3 seed for the three-day, conference championship which is scheduled for Thursday, May 26 through Saturday, May 28 at split venues Redington High School and Houston High School.
Kenai opens against #6 Homer on the Houston Field at 10 a.m. on Thursday. SoHi plays #8 Redington at 1 p.m. on the Redington Field.
The Soldotna Stars recorded a 9-1 conference record; Kenai finished conference play at 7-3 and the Homer Mariners own a 2-7 record.
Three automatic and the possibility of three at-large berths are on the line at the Southcentral Conference Baseball Tournament.
