The 2022 ASAA Division II State Soccer Championships moved into the Friday semi-finals with the Kenai Kardinal boys battling #1 seed Juneau for a spot in the DII state championship game on Saturday.
ASAA Division II State Soccer Championships: Boys Bracket
Juneau Boys 4 – Kenai Boys 0
The Kenai boys were held without a goal against the Juneau Crimson Bears as Juneau downed Kenai 4-0 to advance to the Division II state championship game on Saturday against Thunder Mountain at Service High School in a all-Southeast championship final.
The Kenai boys will play Grace Christian in the 3rd-Place game set for 9 a.m. on Saturday at Service High School.
Ketchikan 1 – SoHi Boys 0
The SoHi Star boys were eliminated on Friday in a 1-0 loss to Ketchikan in the consolation bracket.
ASAA Division II State Soccer Championships: Girls Bracket
Grace Christian 1 – Homer 0
The Mariners fell to Grace 1-0 and will play in the 3rd-Place game on Saturday at West at 9:45 a.m. against North Pole.
The Juneau girls will face the Grace girls in the Division II championship game at Service scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Soldotna Girls 2 – Kenai 1
The Star girls held-off the Kardinal girls 2-1. SoHi’s Jolie Widaman scored a pair of first-half goals; Kate Wisnewski scored a second-half goal for the Kardinal girls.
The SoHi girls will play Ketchikan in the 4th-Place game at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at Eagle River High School.
