Brandon Bornemann, the Executive Director with the Kenai Watershed Forum, announced that he is stepping down from his role this month. According to a press release, he had been instrumental in both his leadership operations and the growth of the organization since 2011.
Matt Pyhala, Board President of the Kenai Watershed Forum writes that he helped coordinate the Kenai Peninsula Fish Habitat Partnership, represent the organization in high-level relations in a diverse group of representatives, increased funders in all programs, helped lead the organization through the pandemic, coordinated the installation of the North Fork Anchor River Culvert, and coordinated the Kenai River Festival.
During the next few months, the Kenai Watershed Forum board will be conducting a search to find a new Executive Director. During this period, they aim to find the best individual to lead the organization forward.
Pyhala also wrote in the press release:
“Again, we cannot emphasize enough the dedication, passion, and motivation Branden has given to KWF over his tenure. We look forward to following the success of his career and are hopeful and excited for the next chapter at the Kenai Watershed Forum.”
