The Peninsula Oilers have yet to find the winning formula against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots in 2022 and on Friday dropped an 8-2 contest to the Pilots at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

The Pilots again scored more runs than recorded hits with eight runs scored on five base hits. The Pilots received nine walks and two hit batters for 11 free passes from the Oilers pitching staff, including three walks and a hit batter in the first inning accounting for the Pilots first run. The Pilots added three runs in the third inning and four runs in the eighth inning.
For the Oilers, seven hits produced just two runs; one in the second and one in the sixth. James Shimashita lead the offense with three hits in for at-bats.
The Oilers face off again on Saturday against the Pilots in game four of the five game series. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
