The first round of the Bill Miller/Lance Coz Big Fish Wood Bat baseball tournament, hosted by the Post 20 Twins, featured doubleheaders for all four teams and the Twins and Napoleon, Ohio both recording two opening-day victories. All tournament games are scheduled for Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Post 20 Twins 6 – Buffalo, Minnesota 5
A five-run, third inning powered the Post 20 Twins past Minnesota Post 270 by a score of 6-5 in the Twins tournament opener. The Twins trailed 1-0 into the third inning when three singles, two walks and an error equaled five runs for the Twins. Minnesota scored a run in the seventh inning and left a runner stranded at second with the final out. Hunter Williams earned the win allowing four runs in four innings; Atticus Gibson earned the save with three innings on the mound allowing two runs. The Twins collected seven hits, with Daltyn Deborski and Jacob Belger recording two hits each.
Post 20 Twins 3 – Bartlett 2
The Twins, trailing 1-0 into the fourth inning, scored two fourth-inning runs to take the lead over Bartlett. Post 20 scored the game winner in the sixth inning for the 3-2 tournament victory. Charlie Chamberlain started and lasted one inning for the Twins, allowing one run. Gabe Smith earned the win on the mound for the Twins with six innings pitched and allowing only one run and striking out five. The Twins notched five hits and held Bartlett to just two hits.

Napoleon, Ohio defeated both Minnesota and Bartlett in opening day action.
Napoleon shutout Bartlett 10-0 in five innings and defeated the Buffalo (Minnesota) Post 270 Cobras 4-0.
