Soldotna Approves Updated List Of Proposed FY23 Capital Projects

The Soldotna City Council enacted an ordinance that approves the FY23 Capital Budget and increasing estimated revenues and appropriations by $1,155,000 in the General Fund, $575,000 in the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex Capital Projects Fund, and $580,000 in the Small Capital Projects Fund.

 

City Manager Stephanie Queen:

This ordinance appropriates funds for FY23 Capital projects. Your most recent meeting, the council adopted the 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan, and these projects mirror exactly those projects that were approved in year one of that five-year planning document.”

 

Capital projects are established to help maintain or improve an existing city asset or fund new construction/purchases. Project costs may include professional services, construction, equipment, and other contracted services needed to complete the project. The recommended projects address a broad spectrum of city services, including street maintenance, parks & recreation, public communication (website/signage), and planning documents.
