Kenai Rolls Ravens 32-7 In Football Opener

The Kenai Kardinals scored in every quarter and nearly shut-out Eielson as the Kardinals post a 32-7 victory over the Ravens on Friday night at Eielson High School in the first high school football game nation-wide for 2022.

 

Kenai 32 – Eielson 7

Kenai opened on defense and capitalized on a fourth-down stop of Eielson on the 50-yard line.  Kenai’s first drive was capped with a 1-yard touchdown run by William Wilson.

The Kardinals scored on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Roc Riggle to Wade James to open the second quarter.  Kenai lead 12-0 at the half.

Kenai running back Reagan Graves scored three, second half touchdowns with scoring runs of 10-yards, 10-yards and 12-yards.  The Kardinals lead 18-0 after three quarters and lead 32-0 with under a minute remaining.  Eielson scored a touchdown pass with :32 seconds remaining.

Final Score: Kenai 32, Eielson 7
