UPDATE: Central Peninsula Schools Cancel Classes For October 26th

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD) has cancelled classes for all Central Peninsula KPBSD schools due to snow and road conditions on Wednesday, October 26th.

 

KPBSD Assistant Superintendent Kari Dendrent released the update on Wednesday morning…

“School had been cancelled for all Central Peninsula schools; Tustumena to Sterling to Nikiski on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022.  For more information please see the KPBSD website, Facebook page and an your email.”

 

The closure will effect:

  • Aurora Borealis Charter School
  • Connections Office
  • Kaleidoscope Charter School
  • K-Beach Elementary School
  • Kenai Alternative School
  • Kenai Central High School
  • Kenai Middle School
  • Mountain View Elementary School
  • Nikiski Middle-High School
  • Nikiski North Star Elementary School
  • Redoubt Elementary School
  • River City Academy
  • Skyview Middle School
  • Soldotna Elementary School
  • Soldotna High School
  • Soldotna Montessori Charter School
  • Sterling Elementary School
  • Tustumena Elementary School
KPBSD schools in the Southern Peninsula and the Eastern Peninsula are OPEN on a normal schedule. This includes schools in Nanwalek, Port Graham, Seldovia, Tebughna, Cooper Landing, and HOPE.

 

Kenai Peninsula College

Kenai Peninsula College’s Kenai River Campus (Soldotna) will be closed today, October 26, due to road conditions. Classes will resume, and offices will open at 8 am October 27.

 

Kenaitze Indian Tribe’s Early Learning Program
