The Soldotna City Council, through a proclamation issued by City Mayor Paul Whitney, has resolved that the Month of November will be Veterans and Military Families Month for the City of Soldotna.

Mayor of the City of Soldotna, Paul Whitney, issued a proclamation stating in part;

“The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Mariners and Coast Guardsmen who fight to defend our liberty embody courage, patriotism and loyalty and where as throughout our nations history, our military men and women have boldly answered the call of duty to defend our nations independence and precious liberty, risking life and limb for their fellow Americans.  I, Paul J. Whitney, Mayor of Soldotna, do hereby proclaim November 2022 Veterans and Military Families Month.”

Whitney brought special attention to military families;

“We recognize the integral role of our military family members play in supporting our armed forces and contributing to their mission while our men and women are serving at home or overseas, it is our duty to provide their families with the resources they need to thrive in our community.”

The City of Soldotna recognizes and honors the brave men and women and their families and encourages citizens to join them in these efforts.
