Brown Bears Drop Second Game To Steel

The Kenai River Brown Bears dropped a 5-3 decision to the Chippewa Steel on Friday night at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.  With the loss, the Brown Bears also drop out of first place in the Midwest Division.

 

Chippewa has won the first two games of the three-game series with the Brown Bears with game three scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 at the SRSC.

 

The Brown Bears fall to 11-6-0-0 in the Midwest Division with 23 points and stand in second place.  The Janesville Jets improve to 10-3-2-2 and 24 points with back-to-back wins over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in Fairbanks and are currently in first place.

 

The Brown Bears vs Chippewa game on Saturday is set for a 7:30 p.m. game time at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
