The Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District is holding the 2023 Industry Outlook Forum from the Christian Community Church in Homer on Thursday, January 5th. The event will take place from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. In partnership with the Cities and Chambers of Kenai, Soldotna, Homer, Seward, and Seldovia, the forum offers a variety of topics and speakers discussing the economic outlook for the Kenai Peninsula and the state of Alaska.

Cassidi Cameron, KPEDD’s Special Projects Manager spoke with KSRM saying:

“Is a day where we gather our leadership, our industry leaders, our business leaders, our community members and different organizations; that we’re able to connect people with different economic development topics throughout the peninsula.”

Cameron explains why having this forum is important:

“This forum is important because it is Kenai Peninsula centric.  it’s our region and it highlights particular projects, particular funding opportunities, particular infrastructure opportunities and development for the economic health of the Peninsula itself.  It is very peninsula-centric and we want to coordinate all of our stake-holders and partners here in our region to highlight what’s happening.”

The 2023 Industry Outlook Forum is free of charge for all attendees.

“This forum is free of charge.  There’s no registration fees, everything is provided by KPED and we do have some sponsors behind it.  We are appreciative of the businesses and the industry partners that support us in making this event happen.”
