Ituau Tuisaula, sophomore at Peninsula College, lead her Pirates women’s basketball team to the NWAC North Region Championship and was named the North Region Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Tuisaula, SoHi Class of 2020, will lead the #3 ranked Peninsula Pirates into the NWAC Sweet-16 with an opening tournament game against Linn-Benton scheduled for Thursday, March 9th at Columbia Basin College in Pasco.
At Soldotna High School, Tuisaula earned two-straight Northern Lights Conference MVP awards and for the Stars scored 931 points and collected 700 rebounds, averaging 17.4 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game.
The NWAC is the athletic governing body of two year colleges in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.
