Five Peninsula Players Named To All-Tournament Teams For 1A & 2A State Basketball

Basketball players from the 1A Cook Inlet Academy teams and from the 2A state champion Ninilchik Wolverines were honored as 2023 ASAA All-Tournament Team selections on championship Saturday at the Alaska Airlines Center.

 

Representing Cook Inlet Academy, Tatum Rozak was selected to the 1A girls all-tournament team from a field of 16 teams in the girls 1A bracket, averaging 18 points per game.

 

On the 1A boys all-tournament team, Ian McGarry, who posted one of the top scoring averages for the 1A boys tournament averaging 20 points per game, was selected to the 1A boys all-tournament team.

 

For the 2A boys tournament, Ninilchik, 2A state champion, received three selections to the all-tournament team.  Three Wolverine seniors: Colvin Moore, Jaylin Scott and Peyton Edens.

Moore was second overall in scoring in the 2A boys tournament averaging 24 points per game.
