Rain delayed the start of the Southcentral Conference baseball tournament, but the bats came to life on Friday and Saturday across the central Kenai Peninsula.
The Kodiak Bears won the Southcentral Conference baseball tournament with a 14-4 victory over Palmer on Saturday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Palmer and Kodiak have earned berths to the Division II state tournament.
Kenai Central earned the third state berth by defeating Soldotna on Saturday in the third-place game at the Kenai Little League fields.
Soldotna was awarded an at-large berth to t he Division II state tournament state on Sunday due to a their 12-8 overall season record.
