Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week ending September 5th:
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is swimmer William Wilson
- Wilson 23att for 103 yards in Homecoming win vs the Homer Mariners.
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is volleyball player Mandee Roofe
- Roofe was chosen due to her most reason performance on the court over the past week.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is swimmer Charisma Watkins
- Watkins won 4 events in Kodiak over the weekend. 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, 200 Yard Medley Relay, 200 Yard IM, and 100 Yard Breaststroke.
